New for 2012, Geelong Stayput is a short break to Victoria’s second city. Staying at Sheraton Four Points, arguably the best location on Geelong’s vibrant waterfront, the Hotel is equipped with an indoor pool and steam room for great relaxation.

Day 1 (L,D) HOME, WERRIBEE OPEN RANGE ZOO, YOU YANGS, GEELONG

Following metropolitan home/hotel pick up (interstate passengers arrive day prior), we travel to Werribee and the wonderful Open Range Zoo. Enjoy a safari drive, lunch at the Meerkat Café and time to walk the easy nature trail. The spectacular new gorilla exhibit is not to be missed! Drive through the You Yangs with fantastic panoramic views to the west of Melbourne and Geelong. Home for the next two nights is Four Points by Sheraton, Geelong.

Day 2 (B,L,D) BELLARINE PENINSULA

A relaxing day as we discover the quaint coastal villages and stunning scenery of the Bellarine Peninsula. First stop is Barwon Heads, then to historic Queenscliff with its interesting maritime museum. Following lunch we visit Point Lonsdale – breathtaking views across Port Phillip Heads. On to Portarlington, with time to stroll along the foreshore or browse its popular shops. Visit Scotchman’s Hill Winery for a wine tasting and afternoon tea, before returning to Geelong.

Day 3 (B,L) GEELONG, BARWON GRANGE, HOME

A little time this morning to enjoy our fabulous waterfront location. Visit the nearby National Wool Museum showcasing Australia’s Wool story from the sheep’s back to the clothes rack. Lunch here at the Black Sheep Café. Visit the charming Barwon Grange Historic House and Garden. Our tour concludes in Melbourne at approximately 4:30 pm. Metropolitan home and interstate transfers complete a most enjoyable short stayput holiday in Geelong.
