Perth

Day 1 (L,D) HOME, PERTH
Our relaxing west coast getaway begins on arrival into Perth where we make the short journey to our home for the next six nights, the Hilton Parmelia. Some time to unpack and relax prior to our first dinner together.
Day 2 (B,L,D) FREMANTLE
This morning we enjoy a scenic cruise along the Swan River to Fremantle. Lunch at the bustling Fishing Boat Harbour, a working port filled with cafes, restaurants and boardwalks and offers a unique insight into the enduring commercial fishing industry. During the afternoon we visit the Maritime Museum, home to Australia II, the America’s Cup winning yacht.
Day 3 (B,L,D) MANDURAH
A leisurely day as we travel south, along the coastline to Mandurah, the second largest city in Western Australia. Morning tea in this charming town before taking a canal cruise on the calm inland waterways of Mandurah, an area abundant with wild dolphins. Lunch at the Dolphin Quays Marina and then some free time to browse before returning to Perth.
Day 4 (B,L,D) HILLARYS BOAT HARBOUR, CAVERSHAM WILDLIFE PARK
We take a scenic drive through the coastal suburbs of Cottesloe and Scarborough to Hillarys Boat Harbour. Here we visit AQWA, an aquarium themed as “an underwater journey along the Western Australian coastline”. Following lunch we travel inland to Caversham Wildlife Park, a large private showcase of Australian Wildlife. Take the opportunity to meet a koala, feed a kangaroo or pat a possum if you wish.
Day 5 (B,L,D) ROTTNEST ISLAND
Eighteen kilometres off the coast of Fremantle lies Rottnest Island, with a rich and cultural heritage. Home to spectacular white sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and unique wildlife. We take the Rottnest Ferry from Perth where we circumnavigate the island on a guided tour, stroll the boardwalk at West End, enjoy a relaxing lunch and hopefully spot a Quokka or two. We return to Perth mid afternoon.
Day 6 (B,L,D) FREMANTLE MARKETS, KINGS PARK
A leisurely morning as we visit the Fremantle markets, a Fremantle institution since 1897. Browse the 150 stalls offering a wide variety of local produce, unique works by local artisans and authentic indigenous art. Later we arrive at scenic Kings Park and Botanic Garden. Lunch here followed by a stroll in the gardens enjoying the magnificent views over Perth City and the Swan River. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure.
Day 7 (B,L) PERTH, HOME
Following breakfast we return to Perth Airport (lunch in-flight) with fond memories of our enjoyable visit to Australia’s westernmost capital.
